Fire Lord Azula - Intelligence

Develop mana, haste, or protection; attack with Azula; resolve firebending; establish timing permission when needed; then cast high-value spells during combat and convert the original casts plus copies into cards, mana, interaction, or a reviewed combo.

Firebending 2 is a triggered ability that uses the stack when Azula attacks. Its red mana survives combat step changes but is lost when combat ends; multiple firebending instances trigger separately.

Azula copies only a spell cast while she is attacking. Instants naturally fit that window; sorceries and most permanent spells need separate timing permission.

Azula puts the copy directly on the stack. The copy is not cast, does not retrigger Azula or cast-only abilities, and does not independently increase storm count.

Magecraft and other abilities that explicitly say cast or copy can trigger from a qualifying Azula copy; cast-only effects such as Guttersnipe do not trigger from the copy.

Azula can copy permanent spells when timing permission allows them to be cast during combat. A resolving permanent-spell copy becomes a token, but that token was not created for abilities that check token creation.

After Azula's trigger exists on the stack, countering the original spell does not remove that trigger. The trigger uses last known information to make a copy even if the original has left the stack.

A copied X spell uses the original chosen value of X. Additional costs are not paid again, and copied effects retain information about costs paid for the original.

If Fire Nation Palace gives Azula firebending 4, her printed firebending 2 and granted firebending 4 trigger separately when she attacks.
