What to check for this commander
Commander context
Kyler is commander/deckbuilding intelligence, not confirmed market movement. Check Human entry engines, Human token makers, counter doublers, Proliferate support, team protection, recursion, and exact printings before trusting a price move.
Another Human
Kyler does not trigger from his own entry. The trigger requires another Human entering under Kyler's controller's control.
Entry Qualification
Human spells resolving, Human tokens, changelings, returned Humans, blinked Humans, Human copies, and creatures entering while a type-changing effect applies can qualify. Opponent Humans, existing creatures merely becoming Human, phasing in, a Human being cast but not entering, and non-Human tokens do not.
Simultaneous Entries
Each other Human entering at the same time creates a separate Kyler trigger.
Counter Destination
Kyler's trigger puts the +1/+1 counter on Kyler, not on the entering Human.
Static Anthem
Other Humans get +1/+1 for each counter on Kyler. The bonus is continuous, is not counters, updates as Kyler gains or loses counters, ends when Kyler leaves or loses the ability, and excludes Kyler.
Counter Types
Current Oracle says each counter on Kyler, not each +1/+1 counter on Kyler. Model this as all counter types on Kyler while keeping the triggered ability's placed counter as +1/+1.
Multipliers Stay Separate
Token doublers create more entering Humans, trigger doublers create more Kyler triggers, counter doublers increase counters per resolving trigger, and proliferate adds counters after Kyler already has one.
Changelings And Maskwood Nexus
Changelings qualify as Humans. Maskwood Nexus makes creatures all creature types while the effect applies, but it does not make already-present creatures enter again.
Token Precision
Generic Soldier, Citizen, Elf Warrior, Spirit, Angel, Wolf, and Beast tokens are not Human tokens unless their token definition or another effect makes them Humans.
Blink
Blinking another Human can retrigger Kyler. Blinking Kyler creates a new object with no counters and does not trigger his own ability.
Phasing
Phasing does not create entry or leave events. A phased-out Kyler stops providing the anthem while phased out but keeps counters when phasing back in.
Copies And Legend Rule
An ordinary Kyler copy remains legendary unless another effect changes that. A Kyler already present may trigger when another Kyler enters because the entering permanent is another Human before state-based actions.
Removal And Toughness
Removing Kyler immediately removes the anthem. Humans with damage marked can die after losing the toughness bonus.
Commander Tax
Commander tax changes casting cost only. It does not change mana value, counters, or Kyler's abilities.
Human ETB and blink
Blink other Humans to create new entries and reuse ETB text. Do not blink Kyler when preserving counters matters.
Resilient Human midrange
Protection, recursion, and rebuild cards keep Kyler's counter total and Human density from collapsing after removal.
Kyler commander damage
Kyler can grow large, but his own anthem excludes him, so commander damage needs separate evasion, counters, or pump.
Human-entry combo
The Presence of Gond lines are review-gated until exact source IDs, ordered steps, interruption points, and card resolution are imported.
