Wizards confirms approximately 500 copies of Gleaming Gold Smaug the Magnificent collector number 249 were printed and that they appear only in The Hobbit Collector Boosters. A copy has now been reported sold on eBay for $24,000 before the August 14 global tabletop release, following earlier public dealer bounty discussion around $25,000.
