Support Package Map
Cards that fit this commander
Cards are grouped from existing roles, support-package notes, and attached market context. These are cards to check, not a full decklist.
Decayed rules and token state1 cards
Decayed represents a static ability and a triggered ability. A creature with decayed cannot block, and when it attacks it is sacrificed at end of combat. Decayed does not require attacking, does not grant haste, and a creature may have decayed even if it is not a Zombie.
Wilhelt death-trigger rules1 cards
Wilhelt's first ability is a triggered ability, not a replacement effect. It triggers only when another Zombie controlled by Wilhelt's controller dies, and Wilhelt does not trigger for his own death. Exile, bounce, command-zone movement, or another destination is not dying, and a graveyard replacement effect can prevent the dies event.
Zombie typal and token production1 cards
Native Zombie, rules-derived Zombie, token status, and decayed status are separate. Not every Zombie token has decayed. A token can die and trigger Wilhelt before ceasing to exist, and the dying permanent is checked with last-known information immediately before it left the battlefield.
Sacrifice and Aristocrats3 cards
Wilhelt must be on the battlefield as its controller's end step begins. The end-step ability triggers once, does not target, and chooses whether and what Zombie to sacrifice during resolution. Opponents cannot respond between the sacrifice choice and sacrifice, and the player draws only if a Zombie was sacrificed.
Graveyard casting and recursion3 cards
Graveyard-cast Zombies need their stated prerequisites. A native Zombie, Zombie token, changeling, or other rules-derived Zombie can be sacrificed to Wilhelt, but casting from graveyard and returning from graveyard are separate relationships.
Decayed conversion1 cards
A Zombie that lost decayed before dying can qualify for Wilhelt, while a Zombie that gained decayed before dying normally does not. Multiple qualifying Zombies dying simultaneously produce separate Wilhelt triggers, copied end-step triggers require separate sacrifices for separate draws, and token multiplication and trigger multiplication remain separate relationships.
Undead Unleashed conversion2 cards
Undead Unleashed is Wilhelt's direct precon from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Commander. Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth is the alternate commander and should stay separate from Wilhelt's Zombie death engine.
Verified combos and market watch5 cards
Wilhelt plus Poppet Factory families, Gravecrawler loops, Rooftop Storm lines, Necroduality plus Rot Hulk families, and Ebondeath or Chthonian Nightmare variants need exact starting Zombies, outlets, trigger order, lethal outlet, interruption points, and human-review status.
