Umbris grows from all cards opponents own in exile, so the main plan is exile-control Voltron. Horror and Nightmare entries feed the exile count, then evasion and protection turn a five-mana 1/1 into commander-damage pressure.

Wizards release notes specify that Umbris counts all cards your opponents own in exile, not just cards exiled by Umbris's triggered ability.

Leyline of the Void and Dauthi Voidwalker replace graveyard entry. If cards never enter the graveyard, Bloodchief Ascension does not trigger from those cards.

Planar Void is a triggered exile effect after graveyard entry, so it must be evaluated separately from replacement effects.

Rite of Replication is a clone effect unless the deck has enough mana to support the nine-mana kicked line; it is not a deterministic combo by itself.

Make Umbris large through exile and connect with evasion.

Use Bloodchief Ascension plus Mindcrank only when the graveyard package is compatible.

Lower the curve and hold up cheap interaction before the spell-chain turn.
