Commander Intelligence
The Destined Warrior - Synergies
Support packages and cards that fit this commander's plan.
Synergy Summary
Support packages to check
The Destined Warrior has 44 connected cards across How the commander works, Party role construction, Finishers and combat conversion support packages. Start with the role on each card, then use the support package to decide whether it fits the commander plan.
Support Package Map
Cards that fit this commander
Cards are grouped from existing roles, support-package notes, and attached market context. These are cards to check, not a full decklist.
Party role construction3 cards
Because the commander supplies Warrior, most lists can run fewer Warriors than Clerics, Rogues, and Wizards. Cheap role creatures and changelings matter more than expensive single-role bodies.
Finishers and combat conversion7 cards
A full party is setup, not a kill by itself. Mirror Entity, Akroma's Will, Squad Commander, Nalia, evasion, and unblockability are the cards that convert the board into pressure.

Role-compression cards are valuable because they fill missing roles, replace themselves, or stay useful after the party is assembled.
Protection against sweepers6 cards
Board wipes are the main structural risk. Do not deploy every role-bearing creature at once unless the deck has protection or recovery ready.

Recovery should bring back several roles or the best finisher. Thwart the Grave is especially efficient when Party discounts are active.

Budget cards should still assemble, protect, recover, draw, or finish. A cheap card that only adds another unsupported body is usually not enough.
Common traps and overrated inclusions1 cards
Generic one-type anthems are unreliable unless the list is concentrated in one overlapping type such as Human. Expensive non-Party finishers can also make the deck clunkier without fixing stalled combat.
