Infinite
Ms. Bumbleflower, Evolution Witness, Tormod's Crypt, and Welding Jar
Infinite storm count, opponent card draw and draw triggers, and +1/+1 counters on a creature.
Required Cards
Setup
- Ms. Bumbleflower and Evolution Witness are on the battlefield.
- One of Tormod's Crypt or Welding Jar is in hand and the other is in the graveyard.
- At least one additional artifact is on the battlefield so Welding Jar has a legal regeneration target.
- Bumbleflower targets Evolution Witness for each required counter and retains a legal opponent target.
No mana after the required permanents and artifact zones are established; both loop artifacts cost {0}.
Sequence
- Cast the zero-mana artifact from hand; Bumbleflower triggers.
- Resolve Bumbleflower's trigger, make a legal opponent draw, and put a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness.
- Resolve Evolution Witness's trigger and return the other self-sacrificing artifact from the graveyard to hand.
- Activate and sacrifice the artifact cast this iteration, paying any other legal costs and choosing targets that do not disrupt the next iteration.
- Cast the returned zero-mana artifact and repeat, alternating Tormod's Crypt and Welding Jar.
Interruption Points
- Remove Bumbleflower or Evolution Witness, counter a cast or trigger, or prevent counters from being placed.
- Exile the artifact in the graveyard before Evolution Witness returns it.
- Remove every other artifact so Welding Jar lacks a legal target.
- Make every Bumbleflower target illegal, apply Rule of Law, or replace/prevent the opponent draw if forced draw is the intended finish.
Ms. Bumbleflower role: Bumbleflower repeatedly puts the counter on Evolution Witness and supplies the opponent-draw output.
Timing: The artifacts are cast with normal artifact-spell timing unless another effect grants flash.
Rules notes: Commander Spellbook exact combo ID 1492-4211-5660-5943. The additional artifact is an exact Welding Jar targeting prerequisite, not an optional support piece. Jeweled Lotus variants are not Commander legal and are deliberately excluded from approved publication. Bumbleflower rule 1: Bumbleflower's triggered ability goes on the stack above the spell that caused it and resolves first even if that spell is countered. Bumbleflower rule 2: Choose the target opponent and target creature when the triggered ability is put on the stack, not when it resolves. The creature may be controlled by any player. Bumbleflower rule 3: If at least one target remains legal, the ability resolves and does as much as possible for its legal target. An illegal opponent does not draw, and an illegal creature receives neither the counter nor flying. Bumbleflower rule 4: If both targets are illegal when the ability tries to resolve, it does not resolve and does not count toward Bumbleflower's resolution count for that turn. Bumbleflower rule 5: Only the second time this ability actually resolves in a turn draws two cards for Bumbleflower's controller. The first and third or later resolutions do not. Bumbleflower rule 6: Resolution order matters when several Bumbleflower triggers are on the stack because the draw-two rider tracks resolutions, not spell-cast order. Bumbleflower rule 7: Instants, flash spells, and other legal casting permissions can trigger Bumbleflower on opponents' turns; the resolution count starts fresh each turn. Bumbleflower rule 8: The opponent draw is mandatory when that opponent remains a legal target, while target choice lets the controller decide which opponent receives it. Bumbleflower rule 9: The +1/+1 counter remains after the turn ends, but the flying granted by that resolution lasts only until end of turn.
