Magda decks move fastest when cheap Dwarves and changelings tap for value, make Treasures, and turn those Treasures into Clock of Omens engines or a specific artifact and Dragon toolbox.

Commander Overview

How This Commander Plays

Magda turns every real Dwarf tap into a Treasure check. The strongest builds use cheap Dwarves, changelings, Vehicles, and artifact tap outlets to reach five Treasures, then tutor the exact artifact or Dragon that changes the board.

Core Game Plan

  1. Start with Magda and low-cost Dwarves or changelings.
  2. Use Vehicles, Drum effects, combat, or Dwarf tap outlets to create Treasures.
  3. Convert five Treasures into a specific artifact or Dragon instead of generic ramp.
  4. Assemble Clock of Omens lines only when the artifact count and Dwarf artifact body are present.
  5. Separate tapped Treasure loops from actual mana loops.
  6. Protect or recur Magda and Clock after the table sees the engine.
  7. Check exact versions and independent demand before trusting support-card movement.

Build Paths

Treasure Combo

Use artifact Dwarves, changelings, and Clock of Omens to repeat Dwarf tap events.

The core Clock loop makes arbitrarily many tapped Treasures and still needs a payoff.
Artifact and Dragon Toolbox

Treat five Treasures as a battlefield tutor for the best artifact or Dragon in the game state.

This is library-to-battlefield toolbox play, not a USD price signal by itself.
Dwarf Aggro

Use Magda's anthem, Dwarf density, Vehicles, and combat triggers to pressure while building Treasure.

Aggro is real but secondary because the tutor text is the stronger ceiling.

Magda plus Clock of Omens plus Universal Automaton plus another untapped artifact can produce arbitrarily many tapped Treasures and repeated library deployment, but it does not create usable mana without a separate conversion or.
