Loki, God of Lies - Intelligence

Loki is not a normal Threaten commander. Cheap targeted spells create the theft trigger, which lets the deck borrow combat, activate or equip creatures it controls, sacrifice stolen creatures, copy them, or turn political creatures into repeatable table deals.

A cast spell qualifies only when every target slot points to the same creature. Several target slots on that creature qualify; a creature plus any noncreature target does not.

Loki's triggered ability goes onto the stack above the qualifying spell and can resolve first. Countering the spell does not automatically counter Loki's trigger.

A spell copy placed directly on the stack was not cast and does not trigger Loki. An effect that instructs a player to cast a copy can trigger Loki if that cast copy targets only one creature.

Loki gains control on any turn. The stolen creature untaps and gains haste only during Loki's controller's turn.

The controller may sacrifice the borrowed creature before the control effect expires. Activating the outlet does not itself trigger Loki.

Hexproof, shroud, protection, ward, and controller restrictions still apply. Arcane Lighthouse removes hexproof and shroud separately; it is not part of Loki's ability.

Use Might of the Meek, Fists of Flame, Expedite, Crimson Wisps, and Ancestral Anger.

Steal creatures and sacrifice them before temporary control ends.

Turn repeated real casts into mana, tokens, and damage.

Reuse red Auras that target one creature and return to hand.

Use haste, trample, double strike, Equipment, and extra combats on the best borrowed attacker.
