Repeatable Loop
Dakmor Salvage loop
A bounded repeatable land-discard engine that turns Dakmor Salvage cycling into Doom drain triggers while Surly Badgersaur helps pay for the next cycle.
Required Cards
Setup
- Doctor Doom is under your control and can see the discard event.
- Tectonic Reformation gives Dakmor Salvage cycling from hand.
- Surly Badgersaur is under your control.
- Dakmor Salvage is in hand and you can pay the red cycling cost.
At least one red mana to start cycling Dakmor Salvage.
Sequence
- Pay the red cycling cost and discard Dakmor Salvage as a land card.
- Doctor Doom sees one discard event that included a land card.
- Surly Badgersaur creates a Treasure from the land discard.
- Replace the cycling draw with Dakmor Salvage dredge to return it to hand.
- Use the Treasure or another red source to cycle Dakmor Salvage again while the library supports dredging.
Interruption Points
- Remove Doctor Doom before the discard trigger resolves.
- Remove Surly Badgersaur before the discard event.
- Remove or shut off Tectonic Reformation before cycling is activated.
- Exile Dakmor Salvage from the graveyard before dredge returns it.
- Stop the loop when library size, graveyard hate, or available red mana cuts off dredge or cycling.
Doctor Doom, King of Latveria role: Doom is the payoff that turns each separate Dakmor Salvage discard event into the life-drain trigger.
Timing: Cycling can be activated at instant speed while Dakmor Salvage is in hand.
Rules notes: Doom triggers once for the cycling discard event because that event includes one land card. This line is repeatable, not published as an unbounded infinite combo. Discard event count: Doom triggers once when one discard event includes one or more land cards; simultaneous land discards do not create one trigger per land. Connive: Discarding a land to connive triggers Doom but does not add the connive counter.
