Dragon Commander decks stay relevant because players keep building around large flyers, cost reducers, attack triggers, ETB damage, and five-color, Temur, or mono-red Dragon shells. Smaug adds a prerelease extra-combat check, but the useful signal is support-card overlap across multiple Dragon commanders, not one preview card becoming a market signal.
